Essential BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids) are amino acids that the body cannot create itself from other sources and therefore relies on dietary intake. Added vitamin B6 is an essential vitamin needed for protein metabolism.
BCAAs are important during physical activity to protect muscle mass. During physical activity, there is partial catabolism of the muscle mass itself. If you want to prevent the breakdown of your own amino acids, use 3 grams of BCAAs before training. The post-workout effect of BCAAs consists in the supply of pre-prepared free amino acids during the recovery period after training.
