The Liver MAX complex formula was developed to support the body's normal liver function and cleanse. It is full of natural extracts and amino acids that complement each other perfectly and act as one extremely effective antioxidant.
Liver MAX contains 12 functional substances that work synergistically together in various ways to support its effects. The basis is the standardized extract of Milk Thistle, which offers 80% silymarin. The flavonoid complex silymarin is considered the main biologically active substance. Milk thistle promotes cell regeneration and liver health, which helps remove toxic substances from the body. Another important substance is artichoke extract - from the leaf and from the whole. The leaf extract is standardized to 5% Cynarin, which acts on the cells of the liver and kidneys. The extract of the whole artichoke enhances the effect of Cynarin, so they complement each other perfectly. Other substances are described in detail below.

Milk thistle (80% silymarin - standardized seed extract) - Milk thistle is used as an anti-oxidant (10 times more powerful than vitamin E). It has been used since time immemorial primarily to support proper liver function. It can stimulate protein synthesis in the liver and thus assists the liver in replacing damaged cells.Sylimarin increases the level of Glutathione in the liver by up to 35%.
Artichoke Extract (leaf, standardized to 5% Cynarin) - Cynarin is a derivative of organic caffeic acid that acts on liver and kidney cells to increase bile and urine production. The bile that is secreted after taking artichoke is thinner and more fluid, making reduces the burden on the liver, while helping to remove unwanted substances from the blood.
Artichoke Extract (whole) - The substances from the artichoke help Cynarin to amplify its effect (see above).
N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine - N-acetyl-L-cysteine is an altered form of the non-essential amino acid L-cysteine that has been attached to an acetyl group. The acetyl form of cysteine is a precursor to the potent antioxidant glutathione. A deficiency of this substance may account for slow recovery after training and poorer protection against injury.
L-Methionine - L-Methionine is a free form amino acid that contributes to the synthesis of SAMe and L-Cysteine, which is a component of Glutathione.
Inositol - Together with choline, these ingredients are ideal to keep fats from accumulating in the liver and improve their transport and metabolism.
Choline Bitartrate - Choline contributes to the maintenance of normal liver function and normal lipid metabolism. In addition, it complements perfectly with Inositol.
Glutathione - Glutathione is an antioxidant that is used by every cell in the body. Glutathione supplementation is useful to support the cells' own glutathione and therefore maintain the effectiveness of the entire glutathione system.
SAMe - SAMe stands for S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine. This form is being studied in patients with cirrhosis or steatosis (fatty liver). In a study on 52 healthy people, a 22% increase in serum ALT (Alanine aminotransferase) was found over 8 weeks of supplementation. Other studies on SAMe include head effects on osteoarthritis and depression.
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) - Riboflavin is an important substance that contributes to normal energy metabolism. It exhibits antioxidant activity in the body. It contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to reducing the level of fatigue and exhaustion.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) - Contributes to normal cysteine synthesis, normal homocysteine metabolism, normal immune system function.
