This product is pure and unflavored raw material without any other additives.
It contains 100% maltodextrin.
Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide derived from grain. It is made from wheat starch by partial enzymatic hydrolysis. It is formed by combining five molecules of glucose, a simple sugar that serves as the main source of energy for our body. The advantage of this combination is the possibility of a more gradual release of glucose as a source of energy. Maltodextrin is gradually broken down in our intestine into individual glucose molecules. These are then absorbed smoothly and provide a stable increase in blood sugar (glycaemia). Rapid fluctuations in blood sugar levels caused by a single intake of large amounts of simple sugar lead to alternating feelings of satiety and hunger. For athletes, this is not an optimal way to consume energy. A good effect is achieved by combining several glucose molecules into a short chain - maltodextrin. Its use is advisable before, during and after exercise.
