Performance sports increase the demands for regular nutrient intake. In the case of some nutrients, the amounts involved are diametrically opposed to the requirements of the normal non-sporting population. Regular administration of omega-3 fatty acids to athletes has been shown to be very positive.

All essential fatty acids serve a purpose, DHA appears to bethe most important for all the tissues that mediate rapid signalling. These include the brain, eyes, sperm, heart and, of course, the muscles of trained athletes.

Recommended Dosage:

• 1/2 - 1 tablespoon (5-10g of oil) once daily preferably after meals.
